Let me start out by saying, this is NOT a paid review. As you might notice, I customize all types of WordPress themes. One of my favorite themes to work with has been Thesis. But that might be changing soon. Last week a new theme was released. It’s called Headway. And it’s set to change the WordPress landscape.
I’m in the process of checking it out thoroughly. If everything goes according to plan, I’ll have to change themes on a few of my sites. Headway is the latest premium theme to make it easier for the novice WordPress user to customize their site.
Features -
- Drop and drag layout editor – Headway incorporates JavaScript to work with the leafs to customize your content and sidebars. If you don’t know what a leaf is in WordPress, just realize more is better.
- Changing fonts and colors made easy
- Simple header customization. You can add your own logo by simply entering your image url.
- Customize your site navigation. Add header and footer content, change your favicon easily, and scripting
- Twitter integration is already built in.
- Advanced SEO. Headway promotes itself as a clean coded theme, which helps SEO. They even mention that no extra SEO plugins are needed to get your desired results. (I’m still checking this feature out)
- If you’re an advanced user or developer, it has a large list of filters and hooks that can take customization much further.
Headway is priced competitive with other well designed themes and of course they have their own support forum.
I’m giving Headway a spin and if tests as good as it’s promoted, you’re going hear it from me. For me it’s worth the money to get a quality product.
